Elona Bennett is a sculptor. She trained at Kingston-upon-Thames College of Art, 1965-1969 and a year, 1969-1970, on the Advanced Course in Sculpture at St Martin’s School of Art, London.
She has exhibited widely and undertaken many commissions, public and private. Exhibitions have included a touring show for the Arts Council of Great Britain, and a show at the Ikon gallery in Birmingham.
One of her commissions, a wood carving for the entrance of St. George’s Hospital Medical School, was unveiled by HRH the Queen.
For many years Elona taught sculpture/woodcarving to every age group.
She became an elected Fellow of the Royal British Society of Sculptors in 2006.
